End of Support for shim

Amazon Linux 2's shim packages are now marked as unsupported. These packages contain unsigned variants of the shim bootloader that do not provide any functional value for Amazon Linux 2 systems. The packages do not install components in the boot path, and their removal will not impact system functionality. We recommend removing these packages from your systems at your earliest convenience. No further updates will be provided for these packages. This change does not affect Amazon Linux 2023, which was designed without these packages.
